Drawing in a breath and then swallowing hard, Jyn shakes her head, the motion instinctive, though she's distantly aware that he probably won't be able to see her. That may be for the best. She isn't sure she would want to be seen right now. Of course something's wrong. So many things are wrong, and she's lost in them now, unable to stop replaying them in her head, both the real events and her imagined twist on them. Saying that, though, is out of the question. She'd be surprised if he needed to be told anyway.
She waits a few seconds before she speaks, until she's sure she can do so steadily. "I'm fine," she lies, what isn't really an answer to the question. Ordinarily, she thinks he'd see right through her — that is, after all, what he's trained to do — but for now, all she can do is hope that the dark and the quiet are enough for her to get away with it. "I just..." Trailing off briefly, she wets her lips. "I couldn't sleep."
Another lie, but she knows she wouldn't be able to now if she tried, so it's just as well that she skips to that part. The rest doesn't matter. It can't matter.
